There are millions of women all over the world struggling to have a baby. Very often, many of them don’t realize that there is a direct correlation between increasing your fertility and changing your diet.
The power of a healthy and nutritious diet can never be overstated. You are what you eat. Studies have shown that a woman’s hormone production and hormonal balance are influenced by her diet.
Your weight matters too. Eating too little, being underweight and/or malnourished, etc. will affect your chances adversely. In this article, you’ll discover 7 tips to boost your fertility.
They’re all related to your diet. Do adhere to them and your body will become healthier and more fertile.
1) Get your vitamins and minerals to boost your fertility
Every woman hoping to get pregnant must get her vitamins. While a healthy diet will give you a lot of vitamins and mineral, you may lack one or two vitamins that matter. These vitamins are antioxidants and prevent free radicals from damaging your body.
Take a vitamin C supplement daily. The body can’t store vitamin C. This vitamin will prevent colds and boost your immunity.
If you can get out in the morning, try and get about 15 to 20 minutes of the morning sun, which is great for getting vitamin D. If the sky is always overcast or its winter, you’ll need a vitamin D supplement to improve your ovulation.
You can get vitamin E from eggs, meat, leafy green vegetables, seeds, etc. This vitamin helps with ovulation and improves womb health.
Let’s not forget all the different vitamin Bs (B1, B2, B5, B6, B9, B12) these are crucial for improving your fertility and for fetal development.
Speak to your doctor as they’ll be the best person to recommend all the B vitamins and minerals (magnesium, zinc, iron, calcium, selenium, etc.) that you’ll need.
2) Increase your protein intake to help improve your fertility
You need your protein to retain and build muscle. Ideally, you should engage in exercise regularly to build strength and be healthy. Get sufficient protein in your diet. This is especially true if you’re a vegan.
Approximately 20 percent of your diet should be comprised of protein. You can get this protein from meat, eggs, nuts, vegetables like broccoli, beans, fish, etc. Speak to a nutritionist and theyíll plan a diet that is suitable for your needs. 3) Get more fiber
Eat more fruits and vegetables. That’s really all you need to do. The fiber will promote better digestion, regular bowel movements, remove excess estrogen, and clear waste products from your body.
4) Drink more water
You’d be amazed to discover that most people walk around in a perpetual state of dehydration. Drink about 1.5 to 2 liters of water every single day.

Space it out throughout the day, so it doesn’t seem so overwhelming. You’ll get used to it in a week.
5) Remove processed foods
It goes without saying that what you put in your body is just as important as what you DON’T put in your body. Avoid processed foods which are high in preservatives and additives, caffeine, artificial sweeteners, excessive sugar, and salt.
Cleaning up your diet will make your body healthier, and your chances of conception will be higher.
6) Eat more fat!
Fat refers to healthy fatty acids such as omega-3 fish oil, cold pressed coconut oil, extra virgin olive oil, etc.
These are the healthy fats that your body craves. You can get healthy fats from fatty fish such as salmon, sardines, mackerel, etc. These oils are fantastic for reducing inflammation in your body and balancing the ratio of fatty acids in your body.
These days our diet is out of whack with too many omega-6 fatty acids and not enough omega-3 acids. So, the healthy fats you eat will balance your body out and improve your health.
7) Don’t starve yourself
If you’re hoping to get pregnant, you should not be trying to starve yourself so that you can lose weight. You need to eat the recommended calories for your ideal weight, and your calories must come from healthy foods.
Pregnancy comes with weight gain. You have to accept that. You can always go back to being lithe and toned after giving birth to a happy and bouncy baby girl or boy.
Eat healthily, eat enough, and you’ll boost your fertility and improve your chances of having a baby.
